Create Your First Amazon Coupon Code & Delight Your Customers

Amazon coupons are a great way to increase sales and conversion rates. They work by giving customers a discount on your products. Customers love getting deals, so this is an easy way to win them over! Plus, coupons can be used as a marketing tool to attract new customers.

The Benefits of Using Coupons On Amazon

Simply using a coupon gets your product in front of more customers and increases product visibility. In other words, it helps you sell more!

Coupons are an easy way to attract new customers and build customer loyalty. You’re more likely to get first-time buyers to try your product by offering a discount or discount code. And once they've tried it and liked it, they're more likely to buy from you again in the future.

This coupon will be visible on the product detail page, the Gold Box Deals page, the coupon page, and within the search results. There are many opportunities for customers to see your Amazon promo code without even needing to advertise it!

Put simply, coupons are attractive. They make your product stick out and get you more sales.

Creating an Amazon Coupon Code

Now that we've gone over the benefits of using coupons, let's discuss how to create them. Creating an Amazon coupon code is easy and takes only a few minutes. Here's how.

First, log into your Seller Central account. Then, hit the "Advertising" panel and click the "Coupons" option.

Where to find the coupon creator within Seller Central.

Select "Create in Bulk" or "Create a New Coupon."  The process is relatively similar, but the bulk option allows you to make multiple coupons at once.

Where to start making your coupon.

From there, you will enter your product ASIN number and click "Add to Coupon." Once you've decided which product(s) your coupon will apply to, you will determine what kind of discount you want to offer, how much of a discount you will offer, and what your budget is.

The first step of creating your coupon is entering your ASIN.

You can either select a money-off or a percentage-off discount. In our experience, money-off discount codes are more effective. Amazon consists of many mobile users who don't want to do the math to determine how much a percentage-off coupon is worth. Simply showing the dollar amount up front with a money-off coupon is attractive.

Next, you will select a money-off or percentage-off discount.

You can choose if this coupon can be redeemed more than once by the same customer. For example, you can dictate if a customer can claim codes for at least this quantity (e.g., once or twice per user). This is entirely up to you - there are pros and cons each way.

Choose how many times your coupon can be redeemed.

Setting your budget lets you put a cap on how much you spend per coupon. While you do not have to pay to make a coupon, you are missing out on a small portion of each sale, and there is a redemption fee for every coupon redemption.

Set the budget for your coupon.

Decide how much you will spend on these coupons when setting your budget. Since you're not paying anything upfront, a hefty budget can't hurt you too much here. You'll be gaining new customers, and any cost will come out of profit and won't be an additional expense.

Now it’s time to give your coupon a title. Make sure you use your keywords in this title! It should be relevant and attractive.

Give your coupon a title.

Next, select your target customers. Choose your target audience according to your primary target customer base. You can choose to target all customers, Amazon Prime members, Student members, Mom members, or customers who have viewed certain ASINs.

Select your target customers.

Lastly, you will schedule your coupon. Popular Amazon promo codes can last between 1-90 days. Set the start and end date. Keep in mind any holidays or other significant sales events when setting this schedule.

Schedule your coupon.

Now you're ready to review and submit your coupon. Amazon will quickly review your coupon and approve it (assuming nothing is wrong with the details).

Conclusion

After you've determined all these factors, your Amazon coupon codes will be good to go! All that's left to do is sit back and watch the sales come in. We hope this article was helpful. Creating coupons is a great way to increase sales, so don't wait to get started!
